Let's meet the student of 1CP in CSIS - Paulina Słoniec, who started to practice horse riding at the age of 7. At the age of 8, she participated in her first show jumping competition. From then on, horses became part of her life and turned into a great passion. At the age of 9, Paulina competed for the first time in the Polish Pony Championships, competing with her peers, but also with competitors who were even 3 years older than her. That same year, as the youngest competitor and the only 9-year-old girl, she qualified for the Cavaliada Future Tour in the Mini ponies category, a prestigious event held in front of thousands of spectators in arenas in Warsaw, Poznań, Kraków, and Lublin, for which a group of the best 16 children from Poland is qualified. Despite her debut at an event of this rank and competition with more experienced players, Paulina won the 3rd place during the competition in the arena in Lublin.

In 2020, Paulina returned to the Polish Championships as an experienced Amazon. She won a bronze medal in the pony competition in group A1 (ponies up to 130 cm). Two months later, she repeated her success and won another bronze medal in the Polish Indoor Championships.

At the beginning of 2021, Paulina again took part in the Cavaliada Future Tour twice, standing on the podium during the competition at the MTP arena in Poznań. After these successes, the time came to start her career as a rider.

At the age of 11, Paulina started regular competitions on large horses, often competing with professionals. Just a few months after shifting to large horses, the Amazon won the silver medal of the Polish Junior Large Horse Cup and won the Polish Championships in the Young Big Horse category, winning the gold medal and enrolling in the history of Polish Riding, winning the prizes just 2 weeks apart.

In 2022, Paulina became 12 years old, which, in accordance with the regulations of the International Equestrian Federation, FEI, gives her the right to compete in international events. In February 2022, Paulina returned to the Cavaliada arenas, this time on a large horse, where she flawlessly defeated the final competition of the Small Round during Cavaliada Krakow. In March, she competed in the CSI Children competition in Ebreichsdorf, Austria, where she was second to none, winning all the competitions she entered. In the same month, as the youngest participant, she took part in the Polish Indoor Championships in the Children category (12-14 years old), taking the high 6th place among 30 competitors who competed, mostly 13-14 years old. In April 2022, Paulina competed, for the first time, with the best competitors of the Children category in Europe during the CSIO-Children competition held in Zduchovice near Prague, Czech Republic. Again, as the youngest participant, she took 3rd place in the opening competition.

During her professional career, the Amazon participated in several hundred competitions, competing in Poland and abroad. As one of only a few people in the country, Paulina obtained second-class license in show jumping at the age of 11. This permission, which is the dream of many young players, allows her to compete on courses up to obstacles height of 145 cm.

Paulina is also a member of the Representation of the Silesian Voivodeship and is currently ranked 3rd in Poland in the Children ranking.
