Students of Complex of Silesian International Schools at the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice
Another successful school and academic year is passing for our Chinese students who are scholarship holders at the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice. Every year, at the end of May, students take part in a piano concert summarizing up to 8 months of hard work. Each of them presents several classical pieces – Chopin or Moszkowski, but also Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn – during individual performances.
This year the concert took place on May 18 in the historic, beautiful hall named after Bolesław Szabelski. A huge part of the school community came to the university hall on that rainy, melancholic Saturday to support their students and classmates. In return for our support, they gave us three hours of wonderfully performed classical music. We could all feel like at a large-scale international piano competition. And it is you, our dearest students, who we see as future winners of such contests around the world.
