"People to people dealt this fate…"
In this short statement, we see the whole truth about the years of cruelty and barbarism for which people are responsible. The former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau is undoubtedly a place of reflection on Nazi cruelty, which the older students of our international school had the opportunity to visit. A visit to this Memorial Site, the only concentration camp on the UNESCO World Heritage List, was a unique educational experience, an unusual history lesson and an extremely emotional experience for all participants. It was also an opportunity to become aware of the destructive power of totalitarianism and to build opposition to all manifestations of hatred.
