Winners Gala 2024
On June 11, 2024, the Winners Gala 2024 took place. The Headmistress, Mrs. Jolanta Kałuża, thanked the students for their effort and expressed admiration for their determination and curiosity about the world. This unique event was intended to honor students who, through their hard work, achieved outstanding results in subject and sports competitions.
Among the students of Szkoła jak Dom, the following people were recognized for their scientific achievements:
- Piotr Bareła: winner of numerous subject competitions in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, including the National Galileo Chemistry and Galileo Physics Competition.
- Suhaan Shah: winner of the Provincial Subject Competition in Physics and the National Galileo Physics Competition.
- Illia Pilat: winner of the Provincial Subject Competition in Physics and the National Galileo Physics Competition.
- Aleksander Sikora: finalist of many subject competitions in Physics and Chemistry.
- Julia Oczko, Aleksander Baytekin, Tomasz Kostur, Bruno Płaza: winners of the National Galileo Physics Competition.
- Maja Piotrowska: winner of the Provincial Biological Competition.
- Joanna Kuberska and Maciej Jachowski: finalists of the National Junior Biology Olympiad.
Students of the Complex of Silesian International Schools and the Melchior Wańkowicz Private High School also achieved success:
- Antoni Nowak: winner and finalist of numerous chemical competitions, as well as an award winner in the Micrometeorite Hunter Educational Program.
- Kalina Krawczak: winner of 1st place in Silesia and 6th place in Poland in the Big Challenge competition.
- Daniel Shaulov: high places in the Big Challenge competition and a very good result in Kangaroo Maths.
- Sarah Cannon and Maria Magdalena Rostek: winners of the National German Language Olympiad.
- Agata Flak: winner of Bible competitions at national and European level.
Exceptional sports achievements were recorded by:
- Jan Wesołowski: world champion in giant slalom.
- Maksymilian Habaj: third place in the international Gardenissima competition.
- Liliana Trybuła, Paulina Słoniec, Hanna Pazera, Lena Kołodziej, Dagmara Janosz, Maciej Sodel, Karol Czapla, Hanna Moczkowska, Aleksandra Billewicz, Malwina Jakubowska, Hugo Drzał and Zuzanna Kołodziej: winners of numerous international and national competitions in various sports disciplines.
