Visiting the Silesian Philharmonic
Last Tuesday, November 14, students from stages 2, 3a, 3b, and 4 from Complex of Silesian International Schools participated in the concert "From Folk to Artistic Music". The concert took place in the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice. The children learned a lot of new words and their meanings. They were made familiar with musical instruments, such as oboe and accordion. Not only could they admire them, but also listen to their fabulous sound. Marvellous music was played. For instance, the prelude to "Te Deum", fragments of which can be heard before each Eurovision contest, as well as "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" from "The Lion King". Our young artists were very eager to actively take part in the concert.
Children were invited to the stage, where they danced polonaise, polka, or even waltz, and played some school percussion instruments to the rhythm of the heard melodies. We can't wait for another visit to the Philharmonic in January!
