St. Andrew's Day Chess Tournament

Our schools are genuine incubators for young talents. This time, students willing to compete tried their hand at the St. Andrew's Day Chess Tournament, which took place on November 24 in the school auditorium. Although the weather was not great that day, the gray and cloudy atmosphere gave way to red-hot emotions!

Students qualifying for one of three age groups could take part in the tournament: first-graders, second-graders, and fourth-graders. Young chess players fought hard, but only one person could be the winner in each category.

In the first-graders category, Mikołaj Ś. won, followed by: Igor K. in second place and Malina N. in third place.

In the middle age category, the winner was Franciszek K. Second place went to Anna B. and third place to Jakub Z.

Among the oldest participants of the tournament, Konrad Sz. took first place, and the next places on the podium were taken by Oliwier P. and Franciszek K.

Congratulations to all the winners! We would like to thank each of the participants for taking part in the tournament – this year not on the occasion of Santa Claus Day, but St. Andrew's Day! Until next time!
