Programming workshops

On Thursday, 12 October, a group of our high school and junior high school students participated in programming workshops organised by University of Silesia in SMCEBI (Silesian Academic Centre of Education and Interdisciplinary Research) in Chorzów.

The workshops were organised as part of the European CodeWeek 2017 action. Students were divided in two groups. While one was sightseeing modern, specalised sicence labs and played with robots (Lego Mindstorm), the other one was learning the basics of Python language, designed the Game of Chaos and made their own GIF animations. The groups switched after the break.

Kajetan Stasiura from second junior high school class won the best GIF competition, organised as part of spreading the programming idea. Congratulations!

All participants of the workshops came back to school happy and inspired by programming.
