Annual Piano Concert: A Musical Showcase by Our Students

On the 7th of April, Primary and Checkpoint students from `Complex of Silesian International Schools` took part in the annual Piano Concert. All students had the opportunity to play the prepared piece of music and show how hard they`ve worked during this school year. The audience gathered in the Assembly Hall was really enthusiastic.

In the concert, there were some guest performances: Xin Zongrong and Huang Hanshi, our Chinese students who also study at the Academy of Music in Katowice, played Chopin`s Scherzo and Nocturne. The surprised children welcomed a junior high school student, Sebastan Wróblewski, who prepared a piece of music for trombone with piano accompaniment. Magdalena and Sofia Wofford played "Two Donkeys" in duet for piano and violin.

Our concert was interspersed with songs: Stage 3 sang a song `Memorize` with glockenspiels accompaniment, and stages 4 prepared a song entitled `Lean on me` in a similar arrangement. Stage 6  played `Row the boat` on recorders. Finally, Checkpoint students sang `My boy` with percussion instruments accompaniment.
