Petanque Day
A few days ago, we enjoyed a day with a game which is getting more and more popular not only in Europe. On January 31st, our students had a chance to learn the story of petanque, get to know it even better, and actively participate in the game, lead by outstanding coaches and experienced players.
The founder and director of the Petanque section associated with the society "House of Saint-Etienne City" in Katowice, Mr Maciej Żłobiński, and an experienced player, Mr Andrzej Munikowski, were very engaged in showing us the game, its technique, rules, and priceless value.
The students actively participated in the warm-up exercises, then in learning the technique of the game, and finally in class tournaments, where the best triplets were selected.
In the end, the winners from particular classes proceeded to the final tournament, in which we could see students and very engaged Mr Michał Skowroński. Congratulations!
We would like to thank everyone for great fun, and the teachers for their support in organizing the tournament.
