Our Students Join the 33rd Edition of "Clean Up the World – Poland 2026"
From September 18 to 20, 2026, the final of the 33rd edition of the nationwide campaign "Clean Up the World – Poland" took place. As every year, students from the Complex of Silesian International Schools actively joined this eco-friendly initiative. On Friday, September 18, our young people took to the streets to clean up the area surrounding our school.
This year's main theme, "SOS for Water! Keep it Trash-Free," brought crucial attention to the protection of rivers, lakes, and water bodies from pollution. Mismanaged plastic, cans, and bottles in our local environment directly impact the health of our water ecosystems.
Notably, this year's campaign carried a global significance — Sunday, September 20, coincided with the official global World Cleanup Day, established by the United Nations.
Our students' efforts went beyond physically removing waste from the environment; they served as a vital piece of environmental education. By participating, we promote the principles of a circular economy and foster a sense of responsibility for the planet within the younger generation.
A huge thank you to all participating students and teachers for their dedication to a cleaner, safer environment!
