Little Bit Academy
Everything that is good ends fast, but in this case the end also means the beginning, as closing the second term with Little Bit Academy means publishing the project. And although there is still some time until the end of the school year, we would like to share the short summary with you.
It was our debut year and the release year of our original programme. Apart from the scenario, we were able to create a fabulous atmosphere during the classes. It is especially significant for us as it boosts creativity and free communication. The first "how to" term contained topics such as the basics of programming, script language HTML, the basics of graphics, naming, or design thinking. The second "create" term brought a few projects which are still awaiting their publication. Scripts, characters, logos, texts, game principles, engine programming, all of this is the achievement of our students.
In the alphabetical order, the first project is the one designed by Candy Portal, who created the game called "Candy Attack". Mr Carrot defends the Pumpkin Planet from candy invaders from outer space. The game, based on Construct 2 engine, is still awaiting its release. We have the last details to cope with. On the team: Maja, Ola, Dawid, Karol, and Mateusz.
Since we are professionals, we hereby publish a few screenshots from the game.
Another project is "Decay Strikes Back" from Charging Company, on the team: Maja, Pola, Pola, Bartek, Janek, Paweł, Piotrek, Witek, Wojtek. Team CC created (supported by their mentors, Dominika and Dawid) a webpage themselves, where they describe their game: www.chargingcompany.pl. It is a campaign launched against tooth decay. Coming soon.
Also, congratulations to Junior Animators, an international team supported by mentors: Monika and Szymon. The topic of their project are endangered animal species. In their game, "Animal Parkour", the tables turn: the poacher gets caught in his own trap, and our protagnonist (Vietnamese Saola) must catch him. Coming on the next classes.
During the classes, it can be seen that all teams cooperate and build positive relationships. Everyone has their job. Thanks to it, those reponsible for graphics cooperate with those responsible for programming, so everyone can see what it means to work together. During some classes, we introduced the character of the manager and art director, responsible for project management. There was a lot of fun, and the group could witness what managing and problem solving is all about.
Next school year, Little Bit Academy continues the lessons. Today, we would like to thank you for trusting us and wish you a wonderful holiday.

LBA Team
