Instruments instead of weapons
We learned about Father Benedykt Pączek's extraordinary initiative running a school in Africa through the UNESCO network. As an associated UNESCO school, we didn't hesitate for a moment – we decided to take action!
Thanks to the huge hearts and commitment of our students, teachers, parents, and the entire school community, we organized a charity fair and classroom fundraisers. Together, we raised funds to purchase a full set of musical equipment. The following items have already reached the students in Africa:
- Yamaha keyboard
- Violin
- Transverse flute
- Guitar with a gig bag
- Music stand and guitar stand
We believe that these instruments will not only help the children develop their musical talents, but also serve as a symbol of hope, safety, and brand-new opportunities.
The icing on the cake was a feature broadcast on TVN, where Martyna Wojciechowska spoke about the entire project. We are extremely proud and honored that our school became a part of such a beautiful initiative. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
We recommend checking out the information about the campaign on the website: https://tvn.pl/programy/kobieta-na-krancu-swiata/benedykt-paczka-zalozyl-szkole-muzyczna-w-rsa-st9244715
All our schools took part in the campaign, namely: Szkoła jak Dom, Wańkowicz Secondary School and the Complex of Silesian International Schools
