Habitats and Their Food Webs

Habitats and Their Food Webs_.png

Over the past few weeks, students in Stages 6a and 6b have been engaged in an in-depth Science project focusing on habitats and food webs. The primary goal was to understand the complex relationships between producers, consumers, and decomposers within various ecosystems.

Core Project Topics:

  • Habitat Analysis: Studying abiotic factors (climate, soil, water) and their impact on biodiversity.
  • Constructing Food Webs: Visualizing energy flow – from solar energy and plants to apex predators.
  • Ecological Balance: Discussing the consequences of species extinction or the introduction of invasive species.

Through this hands-on project, students not only gained theoretical knowledge but also developed analytical skills by creating models of interspecies interactions. We invite you to view the gallery of their work in our Science department!
