Everyone can sing...

Our School has organized the Extramural European Song Competition "Everyone can sing..." for the tenth time. The contest was co-organized by Polish Association of German Language Teachers, Department in Katowice, the chairwoman of which is Ms Małgorzata Bubik, who teaches in our School. This year, the contest took place on June 7th.

The jury consisted of 7 people and evaluated songs sang in English, German, and Spanish. The presented songs were graded in three categories: language correctness, reproducing the melody, and the artistic impression. The level of the contest was really high. The audience listened to all performances with attention.

Among primary school students, the following scored the highest:

I Prize: Rafał Winiarski "80 Milionen”
II Prize: Maciej Kościelny "Treat you better”
III Prize: Silvia Memeo "Champagne supernova”

Junior high school students:

I Prize: Jakub Chrzan "Where did you Sleep last night”
II Prize: Wiktoria Rzepka "Hallelujah”
III Prize: Bartłomiej Świtacz "Georgia”

Winners received valuable prizes funded by the Headmistress, Ms Jolanta Kałuża. All contestants received keepsakes.

Apart from the contest, students of the fifth grade of Private Primary School "Szkoła jak Dom" sang the song "Fideldidu” in German, and sixth graders sang "El mismo sol” in Spanish. Then, students of Complex of Silesian International Schools presented "My song” and "Words don’t come easy”. To conclude, we admired the band "No idea”, who performed “Have you ever seen the rain” and "My angel”.

Congratulations! See you next year!
