"Action Donut"
As every year, this year too, the "Action Donut" charity event was held for the patients of the Cordis Hospice. We are very happy to be able to organize this event because you can afford to "eat sweets with impunity" and also help others.
The driving force behind the action is Ms. Małgorzata Bubik, and she is supported by Ms. Alicja Pastuszka, Ms. Wiola Henkel and Ms. Dorota Kawa with dynamic students of class 7B and high school students.
The entire project this year took about a month (from January 12 to February 13):
Stage 1 – collecting orders for various types of donuts;
Stage 2 – preparing lists for each class, making summary tables, counting money;
Stage 3 – ordering donuts from a friendly bakery called "Gerlach" from Ruda Śląska;
Stage 4 – dividing assignments into individual schools and distributing donuts in classes. There is a lot of work - we start this stage at 7:00 and finish around 11:00.
Stage 5 – we sell the surplus of donuts at school fairs;
Stage 6 – transfer of money to the Cordis Hospice.
We sold 2,050 donuts and earned PLN 4,635 for the Hospice. We would like to thank the people implementing the project and all those who supported such a noble cause as helping the sick by purchasing donuts.
