The winter season is already behind us, so it's worth summarizing it. This year, our students, as part of the Silesian Children and Youth League series, took part in downhill competitions - giant slalom and combi races as part of the Beskidzkie Nadzieje cyclical competition. The competitions took place from January 11 to February 23. The competitors skied on the slopes in Wisła, Międzybrodzie Żywieckie, and Istebna. There were five cycles in total.

Our school was represented by three students: Julia Sobczak, Borys Panasiuk, and Jan Wesołowski. Even though there was a lot of competition, we managed to take a high 7th place in the general classification of schools! The best result can be boasted by Jan Wesołowski, who set the best time in four series of events and took first place, receiving 400 points. He did not take part in the last competition.

The remaining competitors also performed very well and showed uniform shape throughout the season. In the general classification, Borys took a high fifth place and Julia a happy thirteenth.

Photo reports from the competition can be found on the event organizer's Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/BeskidzkieNadzieje.

Congratulations to everyone participating in the competition for their great performance and uniform shape this season. Well done! We are convinced that we will hear more about our young athletes.

Good luck on the slopes next season!
